Tuesday in Holy Week

Tuesday in Holy Week

Join us at 7:00 pm today for a Silent/Centering Prayer Eucharist, there will be about 30 minutes of silence during this 45 minute service.

The prayer for this day:

O God, by the passion of your blessed Son you made an instrument of shameful death to be for us the means of life: Grant us so to glory in the cross of Christ, that we may gladly suffer shame and loss for the sake of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Celebrating our Rain Garden

Today we blessed and dedicated our new Rain Garden

Blessing and Dedication of a Rain Garden

Loving God, creator of the universe, who has filled the world with beauty: Open our eyes to behold your gracious hand in all your works; that, rejoicing in your whole creation, we may care for the earth and be faithful stewards of the creation that you have entrusted to us.

We offer this Rain Garden to you O God, and to the creation, and as a gift to all who see it, spend time with it and benefit from the important difference it will make to our environment.

We give thanks for all who have given of themselves, their time, their money, their efforts, their skills to make this Rain Garden a reality.

We give thanks for the Spirit, God at work in our hearts and minds, for giving us the desire and vision to create this Rain Garden.

We pray that the HoCo Rain Garden will inspire others to care for your creation.

We offer our blessing, and pray for your Blessing upon this Rain Garden, O God, in the name of our Creator, Christ, and Holy Comforter. Amen.
